How to permanently delete your Budgeteer account and the data associated with it.
This page explains how to request deletion of your Budgeteer account, operated by Budgeteer LLC, and what happens to your data when you do. It applies to the Budgeteer web app and the Budgeteer mobile apps, which all share one account.
The fastest way to delete your account is from your own settings:
You can complete these steps in any web browser. If you are using the mobile app and do not see the option there, sign in on the web at budgeteer.ing to finish the deletion.
Budgeteer organizes your budgeting data inside a family that one or more people can share. If you are the only owner of a family, you will be asked to either transfer ownership to another member or delete that family before your account can be deleted. Deleting the family permanently removes all of its budgeting data, including its accounts, transactions, budgets, categories, and payees.
If you have lost access to your account and cannot sign in to delete it yourself, send us a deletion request through our support page . Include the email address on your account so we can verify your identity. We will verify the request and process the deletion on your behalf.
When your account is deleted, we remove:
Once deletion completes, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days.
We retain a limited set of records only where we are required to by law, such as billing and tax records tied to past subscription payments. These records are kept for the retention period required by applicable law and are not used for any other purpose. Budgeting data belonging to a shared family that has other owners or members remains available to those remaining members and is not deleted by the removal of your individual account.
If you have any questions about deleting your account or about what happens to your data, reach out through our support page . For more detail on how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy .
